This has taken a while but I have some fresh
pictures. This time they
were both on the same stick both ended up at the
bottom doing a sort of
pole dance.

After sundown / lights out the female is quick to

well, i only watched this at my females until now,
and they are not gravid
so far, because i will start breeding them next year
first.
i esp. can watch it when i bask them directly with
a special UVB spot, but
they do it also during the normal basking a day.
i keep also ciliaris ciliaris and other strophs,
but i never watched that
on them. it could be a kind of camouflage, but i
think then the others would
do it also like that.
it looks very strange sometimes and when i saw it
the first time, i thought
they were dead or something like that.
anyway it is sometimes funny to see this, but for a
real answere to that i
can not say anything.
by the way the one you sended the picture has very
nice big spines on the
tail, would love to see some more pictures if
possible.
