Well Lyle, not to let the "Cat out of the Bag"(pun intended). There are some
interesting developments that are in the works with a couple members, and then I
will give you a full length article and color plates of Malaysia and Felinus
in situ .You will be more than pleased .Sorry for being secre
Received mine today .One of these times it's going to have a full length
article on Aeluroscalabotes Felinus .Nice job guys, quality as expected .Marcus.
Ive been using UPS for the past 2 years repeatedly.Cost has risen, but
service has been excellent. They will register you as a live shipper of
geckos, which is great.I know there isnt the guarantee for loss we would all
like, but that is part of the risk.Marcus.
I think they(felinus) really are unique,in that most other wildlife stares at lights shone in their eyes. All the spiders and frogs we saw did just that.I had the pleasure of catching a glimpse of a slow laurus(sp?) along a roadside, and it just stared at the headlights. Most of the other geckos did
WHATT,I CANT BELIEVE IT,are you ok girl?Hows that for pressure Lyle.Seriously though, hope everythings ok Julie.Probably that new house got you all wrapped up huh?
Hey Julie, they are pretty hard to spot at night. The Orang Asli guide that was with us was the only person to spot them.I did spot a Cyrtodactylus Pubisulcus on a tree.I really felt a sense of validation from the trip.I realized my successes with Felinus were trial and error, but I was also very luck
WHAT,Julie,youre not going.
I am really getting excited about meeting everyone at the Gathering soon.Ive been pretty much a recluse.I visit a few shows here and there, but I feel like its time to spread the wings. The trip to Malaysia was very eye-opening and helped me understand alot about how Felinus live.Ive been dying to sh
Thanks Lyle, its nice to be remembered, other than tax time and daddy I want this.
OOPS,Marcus here.Wouldve been nice if I would identify myself.
We shall see,if this goes through, then that means no problems.
Ive been meaning to donate a pair of my Locality specific Felinus as a fundraiser for the GGA,maybe even a pair of Cyrtodactylus Elok too.I think its a worthy cause.Lyle,I think it will be my pleasure meeting you.Let me know how we can set this up(donations of animals).I will be back from Malaysia
Great work Julie,truly a rare feat.Take care,Marcus Quesada
Julie Grasshopper,Devine one of Phelsuma, thanks and also thanks for the hookup with Tom on the new Eublapharid book coming out.I look forward to it.Take care,Marcus.
Hey Gals and Guys,Ive been doing some exciting stuff with my Felinus, importing my own locality specific cats and I am traveling to Malaysia in April to meet my exporter and do some field research.I have decided to embark on a book project.I will be renewing my membership shortly.Lots of good stuff
Can tell you that incubation at ambient room temps(68-80) took 7-9 months for c.irianjayaensis to hatch.Incubation medium was perlite,2:1.Would periodically add water over the duration.Hope this helps.Marcus
I am curious to hear other members experiences with this fascinating gecko.Every bit of information is important, please share.Husbandry, acclimation, breeding and the like are some of the topics.Thanx,Marcus
Cat geckos are not a beginners gecko,CB or imports.Julie is correct. There hasnt been alot of success,in a consistent fashion.I keep several pairs and have kept them for 2-3 years now.I have a very elaborate set-up consisting of a timed misting system, progammed lighting, every cage has a temp.gauge/h
Was curious if anyone had gotten any from the most recent group to come in,and their condition.Would also like to hear about breeding successes,if any and frequency of clutches.Thanx..Marcus Quesada,GGA member and proud geckoholic
Wanted to hear from long time keepers of this gecko if there were any
recognizeable(sp?) differences associated with what seems to be obvious color and
pattern variations.Do you find the yellow morph to be larger or smaller?I hear of
references made to the "Southern Form".What variant is exactly
