I have no problem at with compacts, I just haven't used them as
my cages are all in rows
on shelves, I chose to use tubes. Compacts we're fairly new when
my room was setup.
For Uros, you have to use D3, good UVB or both. Based

You sound as is you don't like the idea of the
compact flourescents. May I ask why? I really like them myself,
and use them before conventional fluor. any time given a choice. They
have some pretty nice c.f. UV bulbs now with o

the acrylic will be screwed in place, so it shouldn't be able to warp... and
I doubt it will be able to convince 1/2" sheets of oak plywood framed with
2"x2"s to do so either. I'll keep an eye on it nevertheless.

Hi Jared,
The tank sounds great! However, I have some large acrylic tanks, and
have found that acrylic warps over time, especially with heat. Consider
this with your acrylic ceiling, maybe just construct the tank so the
ceiling can be fairly easily replaced if it warps too much.

Looks like a great cage! I doubt the lighting will bother the
geckos, it may even be good for them.
If you use large plants and branches for climbing, they will be
able to find shaded spots if they
need them. On a vivarium of that size
