I'm very interested to see how your evaluation turns out. I watched some of
the demos of TinyERP and it looks like it will meet my needs. I'm not sure
I need as much material management as your looking for. I'm mainly looking
for something to track my limited inventory of parts so I can run sho
Thanks guys, not sure how I could have missed something like that.
p.s. Is there documentation I'm overlooking that covers this? Perhaps
specifically for people using the gtk version?
Thanks,
Jeremy

In PCB, use Edit->Board Sizes (lesstif) or File->Preferences->Sizes
(gtk) to set the physical size of the board.
If the board you're copying is 3.1 x 1.65, set the pcb board size to
that, and make sure the image you're using as a background is cropped
to the board outline.

You might want to add padding to the im
Hello,
I'm trying to "unlock" a board that was originally done in ExpressPCB, by
recreating it using gEDA. I have already drawn up a schematic of the board
using gschem, and I am now trying to re-route things by hand in PCB. The
problem is that I have never designed a circuit before, let alone cr

I neglected to say one important thing about multiple parts...
Each unit must have a unique refdes, but all the same. Okay.. Example...
I call my parts

U3163ioone
U3163iotwo

I think if you hand-edit the file you can make it larger. One of the
first lines in the .pcb file will start with PCB and has the dimensions.

Yes. I believe the bus lines are cosmetic only.
Will they be connected when I generate a netlist?
Am I doing this properly?
Yes and Yes.
The netnames are glob
Quite possibly not the list to put this message. I'll put this in bug
tracking as well.
Here is a crashing bug with pcb:
This occurs when I disperse all the elements in my design. There are a
lot of them and they run off the page even if I set it to the max size

Your slotdef attributes are attached to the box. Just remove the
I am having a little difficulty understanding the differences between
the "net" and "netname" attributes. I am currently working on a board
that uses a variety of voltages and a common ground. Currently, I drop a
part into the schematic and edit the "net" attribute to override the
hidden power

So far, everything is working just fine. I'll probably end up
tweaking some of the LEDs' resistors to get the apparent intensity
consistent, but so far all the functionality is there. I've got
blinky lights! (s

I have a symbol, 7I33_IO.sym which has four slots. When I run gsymcheck
on the symbol, I get the following errors which I don't understand.
Can anyone help me here?

Thank you Wojciech Kazubski and John Luciani, I have drawn a footprint for
