Boards came back yesterday and one of my footprints don't exactly match the vendor. I used gEDA's 24-pin SSOP format for this IC as the vendor said it was a 24 pin SSOP. I am not blaming gEDA as I should of checked before the boards went out. I did check for the footprints I made myself but did

TSSOP packages come in varying widths, you need to pick the right one. The PCB library window lists the widths for the variants it has footprints for, you could easily add more to the m4 generators. Width and pin pitch are two things I *always* double check. Easily fixed with some wire-wrap

Yeah, kapton tape right on top of the vias and lay the pins down on top of that. I don't know why I didn't think of that. Great idea and very easy to do. Thanks guys! And yeah, I'll *definitely* be checking footprints next time. Luckily that was the only footprint that was off out of 90+ or so
