Of the various formats supported by GTKWave (VCD, LXT, LXT2, VZT, FST, GHW), is there any consensus on which format has the best balance of file size and speed of parsing/generating? Are these formats formally defined anywhere?
Currently our tool chains are based on VCD. But I'm starting a new realtime simulation project (person in the loop); VCD may be too slow.
