How can I verify that guile-gtk is installed? I tried rpm -v
guile-gtk-0.5-3.3.i586 and guile-gtk-0.5-3.3.i586.rpm but just got a
help screen on how to use rpm.
Thanks

I tried rpm -e guile-gtk-0.5-3.3 and rpm -e guile-gtk-0.5-3.3.i586 but
I get not installed errors. I tried searching for guile-gtk and only
found the rpm. If its installed does this find it or do I have to
goto the directory?

I installed guile-gtk-0.5 but mistakenly installed the wrong version.
I installed guile-gtk-0.5-3.3.i586.rpm. I tried to configure gwave
with the same results: Need guile-gtk 0.17 or later. How do I
uninstall guile-gtk?

I have

I then tried to configure gwave with the results below:

I found guile-gtk 2.0 at http://www.

I tried to install gwave and got the error listed in the previous
post. Now I need to install gtk+ 1.0.1 or later. The package manager
shows I have gtk+ - 1:1-2-10-57-fc7-i386. Is this the same? If so,
why is it not recognized? Did the naming convention change? When

This is getting comical. Here's the results-de-jour:

I use fedora 7 which does not have gwave. The package manager did not
list guile-1.6 so I downloaded guile-1.6.8 and tried to install it
using the same method you suggested for gwave. I got the following
results after trying ./configure:

So what do I do if I have guile 1.8, which I do?

No.
When you unpack a source tarball, do it in a place you can work
on it, not a public place like /usr/share.
Usually, you do "./configure" then "make". Then try it where it
is. To i
