How can I verify that guile-gtk is installed? I tried rpm -v
guile-gtk-0.5-3.3.i586 and guile-gtk-0.5-3.3.i586.rpm but just got a
help screen on how to use rpm.

I get not installed errors. I tried searching for guile-gtk and only
found the rpm. If its installed does this find it or do I have to
goto the directory?

When you unpack a source tarball, do it in a place you can work
on it, not a public place like /usr/share.
