IIRC the control key does not create a key-press-event.
This is not true at the X level.
It may be true at some higher level, but, if so, it's a defect in the
interface layer between that level and the underlying X level.

It does connect SDO to ADC0, ADC1 and ADC2:

Indeed that worked, but only after the wire is moved: I tried Ctrl,
Alt and Shift and none seemed to work as the desired result did not
