Dulu industri teknologi dari Jerman seperti Gruendig, Telefunken, Leica, jatuh karena Sony, Toshiba, Canon, Nikon dll. dari Jepang. Kemudian Jepang disaingi oleh Korea Selatan seperti Samsung, Hyundai dll. Sekarang Korea Selatan sudah mulai mendapat saingan dari Tiongkok.
