I don't think so... Is there another bootable distro that does?
Howabout one with F-prot and NTFS write capability? I'm not partial to
Knoppix, though I do love it.

Bring up a root konqueror session (it's in the K menu) and you might be
able to do it.
you will first have to set a root password for the root user in knoppix.

I like the fprot instructions on that site Shannon, thanks.
Joe, you might see if the KDE Sharing Dialog will do what you want. From
Konqueror, right click a directory, chose the "share" tab and press the

Well, it was a lot of data. I wanted to scan the drive for malware
from another machine. In this instance, I ended up taking the drive
out and connecting it to my own PC and scanning it that way, but I'd
prefer avoiding that risk and hassle in the future.

It's easier to push the data than to pull it. Try to sftp into another
machine by "sftp user at machine" and put the files there. You can do this
graphically with konqueror with "sftp://user at machine" or you could use
konqueror and the smb:// protocol or smb4k to push the files onto another
I'm trying to use Knoppix to clean up a virus-laden Windows machine.
I've seen stuff about installing f-prot from within Knoppix on the
