[DISCUSS] Rolling shepherds?

2014-11-22 Thread John D. Ament
Hi all, I was wondering what everyone thought about the current shepherd program? It seems like we have some idle shepherds, who maybe don't have the bandwidth to help out all the time. What would everyone thing if we marked idle shepherds w/ max_podlings = 0 so that they don't get assigned?

Re: How do reporting groups get assigned?

2014-11-22 Thread John D. Ament
I always assumed that it was based on the month the podling joins. Since there are 3 reporting groups, the decision on who to report is on the mod of the current month number against 3, so I figured M % 3 = reporting group, except 3 replaces 0. But that's only my guess as none of the guides

Proposals - wiki required?

2014-11-22 Thread John D. Ament
All, The current way the proposal page is written, the wiki for proposals is optional. I don't think this is the case any longer, since it looks like we request that all proposals get put there first. Does anyone mind if I rephrase the page to make it mandatory to use the wiki for proposals?
