Thanks for checking, it was definitely an accident to track
mysql-connector-java-8.0.30.jar to the git repo and include it in the
source release tarball.
I have created a blocking issue[1] to track and solve this problem ASAP.
BTW, are there some convenient scripts/tools to check
For my own education, I dug into this particular LICENSE [1] which is not just
plain GPL2, it is granted under the Universal FOSS License version 1.0 [2].
But it's still Category X despite this.
The question for this specific software is answered at [3] with suggestions for
what to do instead.

- incubating in name
- signatures and hashes are fine
- disclaimer exists
- license and notice files look good
- file have correct ASF headers
- source release including compiled code [1]
