I’ve finally got around to polishing off the couple of remaining issues
that were blocking the 1.7 release. The code is tagged here:

This is the last Batik release that supports Java 1.3, so again we have
two binary
I've done some tests and reviewed the legal info. Everything looks good
to me.

am excited about the release. Since I can't test, I'll give it a +0.1

Just come back from holiday.
Update the batik latest svn, rebuild the binary jar, so far so good, no errors.
Testing the binary result especially squiggle, so far so good.
However, the squiggle unable to display the following svg (as
attachment), it is feColorMatrix.svg from SVG Spec by W3C

I've cut and pasted the failed tests from my regard run.
The fact that others don't see the change is probably enough
for me. It's good to have answers for these sorts of changes
but it seems pretty clear that what ever small regression this
_might_ possibly be is much less

any differences in the rendering but I don't think what improvements in
the WMF transcoder could have done anything for the line width ;-);
