I fixed mine just now. I emerged udev and hotplug and made sure my kernel was configured properly: General setup ---> [*] Support for hot-pluggable devices File systems ---> Pseudo filesystems ---> [*] /proc file system support [*] Virtual memory file system support (former shm fs) Make
