To continue with the top-posting, I suspect he means the much shorter
grub-install command to resinsert the grub bootloader into the MBR.

What do you mean 'install' grub again? Are you suggesting that I have
to do the whole process from the install guide with this version of
grub?
I'll have to double check python-updater. I thought I finished that
Sorry for that.
I mean re-emerge grub and install it again.

Eduardo.

This is true, however I'm pretty sure that at one point my http server
stored it's data in /srv/. Maybe I'm confusing my three letter
directories or maybe I altered the configuration, I don't know. Just
thought I'd throw it out there.

All my httpd installs (apache and lighttpd) use /var/www by default.
Dan
Doesn't apache use it? I haven't used it in a while but I thought the
directory htdocs was in /srv/www.

Grub use ncurses.
If you have updated ncurses, you must re-emerge gentoo and install it.
I had the same problem on Sunday.

I'm confused about what use Gentoo makes of the /srv directory. Google
doesn't help, nor gentoo-wiki. It's referred to in (I think) webapp-config
postinst, but I can't find out what it means.
Can anyone here help?

the next bugfix release.
