Doesn't apache use it? I haven't used it in a while but I thought the
directory htdocs was in /srv/www.

All my httpd installs (apache and lighttpd) use /var/www by default.

This is true, however I'm pretty sure that at one point my http server
stored it's data in /srv/. Maybe I'm confusing my three letter
directories or maybe I altered the configuration, I don't know. Just
thought I'd throw it out there.
