I can't remember why/when but I had a similar problem. it can be solved by booting using Knoppix64 then chrooting, or you could install a bare minimum x86 system on the side, compile a kernel with x86_64 support, reboot and chroot... Hope this helps. Antoine On Thu, 2005-05-19 at 18:43 +0200, Moh

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes I use the x86 stage 1 tarball with the x86 iso install, because I can't boot with the amd64 iso install cd ( amd specific and not x86_64 ???), I have grub error : Error 15. And to finish, I can't chroot with the amd64 stage tarball when booting with the x86 install
