I currently have a dilemma. When I use kmplayer to watch a video (wmv format, in this case) it appears I have a choice. If I configure kmplayer to use mplayer, I get sound but no picture, conversely, if I configure kmplayer to use mplayer-bin (with no other config changes) I get a picture, but no sound.

I vaguely recall watching another short clip about 4 weeks ago, and not noticing anything wrong then. Does mplayer-bin require any different sound settings? System sounds (window open/close, etc) are working normally, as are other programs (mp3 players). Any suggestions as to what I can try next? -- Reverend Paul Colquhoun, ULC. http://andor.dropbear.id.au/~paulcol -- gentoo-amd64@gentoo.org mailing list
