Hello, I have an interesting situation. At least I think it is. I purchased a Shuttle SK41G which comes w/ a Realtek 8100B embeded in the MB. I had an old 10G drive lying around that I put it in. I installed gentoo and got the NIC up using 8139too, however apparently the drive had issues and I couldn't get it to boot. I went out and purchased a new HDD. Now I cannot get the NIC card to work. I tried DHCP that didn't work. I setup it up manually. The Uses By in lsmod is 1. It looks like it is up in ifconfig. The routing table is correct. But I can't get out. I have other boxes in my network, including the one that I am using right now, that have are setup using DHCP or manually setup so I know my network is fine.
So then I thought that I might have done something when I switched the HDD so I ran linux-bbc on it. The NIC comes up w/ 8139too and gets out. I then installed RH 7.2 on it, same thing. I really do not want RH on this box. Can anyone suggest anything on how to get the NIC to work now? Thank You, Vic -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
