same thing here, i fixed it by removing the whole gtk+1.2 dir then emerge sync, then emerging the package that relys oon the gtk+ package (can't remember what one now) then doing an emerge -u world, i don't now what one of those steps fixed it, but it worked. -- Nicholas Hockey (Tilt) <[EM

Okay, problem solved. Here's what I ended up doing: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ % locate gtk+-1.2.10-r10 /usr/portage/metadata/cache/x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r10 /usr/portage/x11-libs/gtk+/files/digest-gtk+-1.2.10-r10 /usr/portage/x11-libs/gtk+/gtk+-1.2.10-r10.ebuild /var/cache/edb/dep/x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r1
