I have two computers connected and working fine. Their names FOO and BAR. Both names are correctly recognized. I use them to share resources and to launch remote X sessions. What I have done on both: emerge ccache emerge distcc Changed make.conf FEATURES=ccache distcc CCACHE_SIZE=2G
