Thats an interesting comment. I have found that some apps just wont build with distcc running, so you are not alone. I have downloaded one of the distcc livecd's (its even in the filename, but finding which link led to them was difficult - is the website getting too hard to navigate?) and when I

Do any of the liveCD's have distcc on them? I want to be able to use a co-workers PC (while he's not using it, it spends much of its time powered off!) to supplement my laptop while I am doing an emerge -e for the umpteenth time (emerge --resume does not work very well when you are trying to fix f
