I have an interesting situation. At least I think it is. I purchased a
Shuttle SK41G which comes w/ a Realtek 8100B embeded in the MB. I had an
old 10G drive lying around that I put it in. I installed gentoo and got
the NIC up using 8139too, however apparently the drive had issues and I
try booting with acpi=off
if that doesnt do it try a experimental livecd
www.gentoo.org/~livewire if ya dont need xfs.
