If you have an ATI card the downgrade to Xorg 6.7 would be clear. The ati-drivers package simply depends on Xorg 6.7. It is said ATI will deliver a set of drivers supporting Xorg 6.8 (and DRI) this month. In the meantime you could either go with 6.7 or re-emerge 6.8 but forget DRI for the momen

Having carefully backed up my whole root partition, I just embarked on the huge emerge that had built up in just the few days around the new years. I was worried about Xorg, of course -- it was going to be a major pain if that didn't work. In the event, everything seems fine, but there were some
