[gentoo-user] USB thumb drive weirdness

I have a Memorex 128MB USB ThumbDrive that I got a couple months ago. I hadn't even used it until earlier today. I had checked last week to see if it worked and everything. Had no problems mounting it. I did the following to test it: # mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/usb # nano /mnt/usb/lala t

Slow? No. Sorry, but I run my personal network the way I run my enterprise network. If it is a shortcoming that I can live with, so be it. The benefit is that my server has been running without a single issue for the 1+ year on gentoo. The only reboots have been from power outages and those awfu
