Hi!

I use unicode in my system for long time ago... but I have problems with
terminals since the first moment. So, when I issue a 'cat' command, there I
can't do 'backspaces', and I get ^H instead.

Reading in howto's, I've found that I have to patch 'stty', in order to have the
option "iutf8" in it. I don't know if the howto is old, but my 'stty' doesn't
have that patch, and my terminals don't work.

(Bash works fine with backspaces. But not the terminal launched applications)

The howto I read is.
http://www.linuxselfhelp.com/HOWTO/Unicode-HOWTO-3.html (3.2 Ttys & the kernel)

Should I patch 'stty' by myself? Does anybody use unicode fine in their system?

Thanks!
