I have fixed mine, it was a similar story with xfce4-fileperf
I wonder when the xfce4 ebuild writers are going to fix the dependencies?

thank you for the tip/reminder. that isolated the problem to xfce4-diskperf
which depends on something etc etc that was causing the problem. emerge -C
xfce4-diskperf fixed it (I only emerged that package in the first place to see
what it was like, i never use it)
