Hi all I have a multiboot system with gentoo and
windows. Yesterday, when I turned on my computer, and instead of saying GRUB loading
stage 2 and showing the boot-menu, it just stopped at GRUB and with the built-in pc-speaker going crazy. I boot on a grub
boot disk, and it works fine. I remerged grub, and did the cp
/usr/share/i386-pc/*stage* /boot/grub/. In grub, root (hd0,0)
works fine, but when I type setup (hd0,5) I get an error message saying, that
the partition could not be mounted. Is there anyone
who can help me with this matter, or who can point me to a guide that describes
