Hello all, Well I finally got my second CPU back, after living in no-SMP land for about 2 weeks, and wasted no time in putting it in and recompiling my kernel ... i did the usual make mrproper make menuconfig make dep && make clean && make bzImage modules modules_install cp ../blah/bzImage /boot emerge alsa and nvidia-kernel stuff.
then reboot.... and boom ... the message I get is "Ran out of input Data... system halted" aslinux starts to boot. What have i done to deserve this....i recall, since I chrooted from the LiveCD, that I wasn;t able to unmount my /boot partition before I rebooted...could this be the cause?
