Hi all. Ok I'm a Gentoo newbie. Searched in the FAQ etc for a answer but could'nt find anything thats helped me. My problem is when I have booted the LiveCD and when I try to select a mirror for Portage/Emerge/Sources. The mirror used when I for example run: # emerge genkernel Is not the one I

[gentoo-user] mirrorselect -- cannot open tty-output

I started with stage 1, emerged through stage 3 and then merged mirrorselect. I did mirrorselect -i and got errors about regular expression and then found my make.conf had Gentomirrors= followed by a bunch of ascii codes that are used to control the console colors, etc. There was no mirrors li
