[gentoo-user] sound recorder problems

Im trying to record with my PC microphone, Im using a SBLive card with the ALSA drivers: snd-emu10k1 and snd-emu10k1-synth. My soundcard seems to work fine. My mic also works, I can project my voice through my speakers using the mic. But I cant seem to record the sound. Ive tried using gnome
