I don't know what happened: It seemed that my root password had gone. I really
have no idea of how and why. But I used the live-cd, changed the password.

Does it have anything to do with that I changed keymap from uk to dk-latin1?

Can you su outside of X using the same username? Also, it isn't safe to
run X as root and doing so is disabled for security reasons.

Are you in the "wheel" group?

Check that the line "AllowRootLogin=true" is in the "[X-:*-Core]" section
