+1 for deluge, being for server (with web interface, the ajax interface is
great) or just for desktop. The pre-made gentoo daemon for deluge is also
very well made so you will have less job to do to get it working.

I think that buying an SSD right now is not worth it. If you are going to
buy one, get the intel G2 ones, but in my opinion it is always better to
first max out your RAM in your PC. After all the SSD is going to help when
you first boot your PC or open a program. After that everything is cached in

Under windows 7, getting a file from the server achieves around 70MB/s
Under Gentoo, using gnome gvfs, it can only achieve around
the themes you installed are for openbox (title bar and borders), those can
be changed with "obconf" (emerge it if you don't have it). lxappearance
changes the gtk and icon themes. (gnome-themes, gtk-engines-* etc)
