Hi,
After installing gentoo and gnome on my current system, I don't get programs added to my program files after emerging them (ex: firefox-bin does not enter the menu after emerging it, I have to do it manually). Could anyone list any reasons why this could happen?
I have tried out KDE and I am now using GNOME. It seems like GNOME has more of a skinning functionality although it does look a lot more bland initially.

FPS in Half-Life is net_graph 3 or cl_showfps 1. Some people say cl_showfps one is a bit inconsistent, but I find it to be accurate enough. the CL command may require sv_cheats to be set to 1. Linux tends to run games a bit worse so if you need HL optimization, just email me :)

Hi,
I have a computer colocated and I want to switch to gentoo, but I want to cause the technical support there minimal hassle (and a minimal cost to me :) ). The most I want them to do is pop in the gentoo disk, restart, and run a script that changes the root password and implements the correct
