seconds of saved time per day to move to a nonstandard setup. That may
very well be the case, but a lot of people would probably decide that it's
not.

ding away at it. Second, if you use RSA auth, then you've
greatly restricted the possibility of them gaining access. Short of a flaw
in sshd itself, it's statistically nearly impossible for them to guess your
RSA key.

Note that I explicitly do *not* recommend this approach as a blanket "extended
warranty" policy for just anything, but if the company in question has
abandoned their obligation to you, I don't see any problem in enforcing
compliance through other channels.
