distfiles.gentoo.org to 1.0.0.0. Even if that was a valid IP address,

mi.mirror.garr.it resolves to 193.206.139.34, maybe you have a DNS
issue? Did you setup /etc/resolv.conf properly?
Can you test "ping mi.mirror.garr.it" to make sure your machine can
actually resolve it's IP properly?
