[gentoo-user] LDAP everywhere?

After a recent --sync I see now that the update wants to emerge openldap because an "ldap" flag has been added to openssh and it seems to be the default. Anyone else seen this? What is the thinking behind making it a default flag? Makes no sense to me. I dont want or need openldap on my boxes...
