Hello list,

For quite a while now I've been getting messages like these in /var/log/
messages (I've omitted date, time and host):

kernel: vboxdrv: ffffffffa02aa020 VMMR0.r0
kernel: vboxdrv: ffffffffa03c6020 VBoxDDR0.r0
kernel: vboxpci: created IOMMU domain ffff8801d34d8a08

Altogether, in a 2740-line messages file I currently have 894 vboxpci
entries and 792 vboxdrv. That's 60% of the total log messages, and an awful
lot of wasted logging.

Two questions:
- What is vbox trying to tell me?
- Is there any way to stop this pointless logging?

VirtualBox is being used by some of my BOINC projects, which ship with their
run-time code packaged into a vitrual machine so that the projects don't
have to maintain lots of code bases.

Peter.
