Xorg-server-1.6.3.901-r2 is now stable on x86. I see the following in the ebuild RDEPEND="hal? ( sys-apps/hal ) tslib? ( >=x11-libs/tslib-1.0 x11-proto/xcalibrateproto ) dev-libs/openssl >=x11-libs/libXfont-1.4.0 I believe this says that libXfont >= 1.4.0 must be present.
