[gentoo-user] why does emerge libstdc++ want to install gcc-3.3.6-r1?

Hi, all, I have 5 up-to-date gentoo machines, all of them running gcc-4.1.1-r3. On 4 of them, emerging libstdc++ proceeds as one might expect, just installing the current version of libstdc++ for gcc-4.1.1. But the 5th machine does something quite different. Why? On the 5th machine emerge
