are not as effective as stratospheric aerosols for climate modification.
1) life time is only a couple of weeks
2) Particle size becomes too big quick
Even with all these limiting processes, trace emissions of SO2 from mainly
coal plants around the world exert a cooling influence of something like 1-2
W/m2. Good thing they are not emitting all their SO2 into the stratosphere.
