+1, I rather like Chris Holmes idea of "an extension", even it was just
tutorial. At the very least, it bundles Marlin. I am slowly getting 2.5
through to our development platform so keen on both Linux and Windows
instructions.

How short can the instructions be made Andrea? Is it just copying a jar
into the JRE?
We could add a blurb to the end of each release, similar to the "About
GeoServer 2.5 Series", highlighting "Try This'. I am sure we can rotate
through things to try, but we could leave Marlin on rotation for 6 mo
Could an optional page be made for the windows installer? We already know
the JAVA_HOME at that point and could copy the extension in?
