Hi,
I need to use the hatching style for polygons in a map.
I have seen the hatch styles in the geoserver cook book, but also realise that
a
hatch is not valid ogc..ie the ogs doesn´t recognize hatching as valid.
What consequences will there be if I build an ogc webserver, but offer styles
I know jts:buffer exists. Just to make a simple example.
The reason why SQL is another supplementary approach is because many GIS
admins don't code at all but master SQL instead, hence GIS admins would make
a WPS process with configuration instead of code. Furthermore, I think

Thank you Andrea for the answer,
read my answers bellow:
- are you trying to update a column that maybe does not exist in the table?
No, also in this case the error exception says clearly that the field
doesn't exist.
- did the table structure change since you started GeoServer?
No.
It would
Hi,
Try to rename the name attribute to something else, like name_debug.
PostgreSQL reserved keywords may cause odd problems.

Hi all guys,
I recently started playing with Geoserver REST APIs - nice work! - I got anyway
some troubles with response statuses:
* when authentication fails, API replies with 400 Bad Request. I took a while
before understanding that was a problem of authentication and not of how I
submitted
Hi Jukka,
you are right about the problems related to the reserved Postgres(i have
doubts here,
maybe is a GeoServer+Postgres problem?) keywords like name or
description used as fields,
i know this fact. But this is not the case. When i use the
DescribeFeatureType request with version=1.0.0,
have you tried using the MinScaleDenominator tag? I think this would
necessary, so not all layers attempt to render at the smallest scale

Hi Justin!!!
thanks for your prompt response!!!
I'm using the Java Sonatype's AsycHttpClient, unfortunately I don't have log
dumps (I'm still in the middle of development and didn't preserve anything),
but if you can give me some time I can prepare a log so you can see it ;)
Deal for the Issue,
Daniele -
I'm now working on a RHEL6 distribution and I am looking at the
Image I/O-EXT - Setup Guide 1.1.1. Has there been any update to that;
more specifically, does the Java dist still have to be 1.5.0_17? I
notice that the guide assumes that you are working on Linux Fedora Core

Ok, so I just posted a similar question to the mapfish users group and got
an answer (it's a client side issue, so please excuse the noise). I'll post
it here:
I added:
Ext.Ajax.timeout = 12; //2 minutes
To the top of my javascript now my larger maps are not timing out.

The pdf document you recommended is in German. Is there an english version ? The layer names that were configured in geoserver are named like "road", "poi" etcCheers,Nyemike Onukwu. From: Andrey Maraev asmar...@gmail.comTo: Roman Isitua romanisi...@yahoo.comSent: Tuesday, August 2, 2011 2:47
Thanks Andrea
Yes that was the issue. The generated url in the GetCapabilities for the
test WMS was using the wrong port. Once I corrected these urls the reproject
started working.
Thanks
