[Geoserver-users] Creating a layer through REST API

Hey,   Is it possible to publish a layer through the REST API (GeoServer 2.9.1)?  according to the documentation the POST method is not allowed. I succeeded creating a workspace and a store but publishing a layers is left now :)   Thanks,
