unfortunately they only cover the configurations that I already managed to
do myself.
Maybe those non-ayer-specific-caching standards settings (like standard
grid sets, fomats, metatiling …) are just not meant to be configured
automatically ...

in that case it would be best if you could open a ticket here:

and attach a file that fails (you could just attach a small subset using
gdal_translate ability to cut on bboxes)
