I sent another email to the geoserver-users group about the same bug when I
tried 2.19.2, on October 12th, with subject = Error when trying to add an
imagemosaic data source. In that email, I attached the full stack trace, plus
the xml files I have in the directory with the geotiffs.

Dear all,
Thank you for your replies.
Downgrading to version 2.18.5 seems to solve the password issue. I'll
try your solution of admin password reset with newer version.

Hi,
no, I fixed it only for our instance and mostly german only.
I added the following issue, so that developers could fix it:
https://osgeo-org.atlassian.net/browse/GEOS-10282
If I could support the needed changes please inform me.

Hi Stefan!
Did you fix this in the Github repo? Or just in your instance, and for german
only?
Else the problem is mitigated, not solved.
It still persists for all other languages and users.

Dear all,
I'm running geoserver 2.18.5 on tomcat and I can't make it work properly.
I can login as admin or any other registered user, but I can't navigate
inside the geoserver GUI. If I try to save any modification (on
workspace, layer, settings, ...) I receive a 400 error.

Hi,
Your welcome page looks good to me here in Finland because my browser selects
to use English in the user interface.
We used to have a very poor Finnish translation of the UI but now that
translation is fortunately disappeared. However, by that time I wondered if
there is some easy way to

Hi all,
I just upgraded an instance from 2.18.2 to 2.20.0 and the paging in
layer preview page has stopped working.
Is this a known issue?

Hi Werner,
the umlaut problem appears only in the (wicket?) user interface text,
like "Diese GeoServer-Instanz gehrt" not in the generated data (eg.
layer list ...)
See attached screenshot.

Hi!
I am not quite sure if I know what you mean.
Just took a look at the link you sent - and could not find any problems you
mentioned.
The Title in the Layers list is with Umlaut - and the Data inside some
(random clicked) Layers are also displayed correctly here.

switching from 2.19.1 to 2.20.0 Geoserver I got so called

Every german Umlaut like ö, ü and so on is replaced by a question mark.
For example see https://geodaten.metropoleruhr.de/geoserver/web/
Is there any configuration available
Stefan, perhaps we should talk on the user list? I am not familiar with the
issue...
