I've just spent the last couple of days getting Geoserver SLDs prepped for OS
MasterMap, VML, VMD, Meridian and Strategi using the OS SLDs as a starter.

Do you have a layer available in geoserver to display?
What projection is the source data in?
Can you view the layer through layer preview in the openlayers application?
What do the geoserver logs say?
