Dear all,

The GeoServer developers are considering to move the project from Java 5
to Java 6. If this happens, it will apply to GeoServer version
2.2.0, meaning your web container will have to run on JDK 6 in order
to get GeoServer 2.2.0 working.

The current stable series, 2.1.x, will retain Java 5 as the minimum
requirement instead.
