If you go to
https://sourceforge.net/projects/geoserver/files/GeoServer/ then select a
version, then download the geoserver--htmldoc.zip file from that
version you will get the docs site content.
You can then unzip it and open it in your browser and navigate it as usual.

Chrome says DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN.
Are the docs available elsewhere temporarily?
